CANDLE HOLDERS
One of my greatest delights when I started working in Mosaics was when I decided to use glass on glass and make a candle holder.
I became lost in the process of making this candle holder on the left, my first piece. I started wanting each side to flow into the next side around. This is the finished piece and I am delighted that everyone that sees it, especially with a tea light in it, just love the glow and ambiance that is created.

This is the finished piece and I am delighted that everyone that sees it, especially with a tea light in it, just love the glow and ambiance that is created.
Encouraged I decided to make one that had a 3D effect and this long skinny Vase became a candle holder. It is absolutely beautiful with some water and a floating candle sitting half way up - like a light floating on the sea.
This candle holder just evolved as I faced the challenge of an undulating surface. I started with the vase upside down and worked that way to the top.
Being totally focused on what I was doing, it wasn't until I had finished and grouted this piece, lit a tea light and sat the candle holder on a stand that I realised I was looking at beautiful Grecian Windows glowing from the inside.

I LOVE working with Glass on Glass and am in the process of making more beautiful Chandle Holders.
