ARTIST STATEMENT

I have always been a creative person, creating artistic expressions of what I observed from an early age. In high school I took art as an elective for all of my senior years. Since then I have worked in Pottery, Show-Card and Ticket Writing, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking. Recently the opportunity to take up art full time presented itself and renewed my drive to create, which has brought joy into my life.

My belief is that Love from the deepest recesses of the Heart can heal mankind and open people’s eyes to beauty before them. That Love will motivate a need to shift from dominance in this world to tolerance, compassion and acceptance. I believe that art is a vehicle for bridging cultural and social situations, it has the capacity to speak to and move individuals in a very personal way. With an open heart, we are able to empathise with more of what is going on around us. We are able to examine our own life and make adjustments.

There are many un-humanitarian acts being carried out, however the beauty in this world is all embracing and gives us a safe and sacred place to dwell. My hope is to convey both sides to life, to take the observer on that journey even if only while standing before the artwork.

For these reasons, when I create, I maintain awareness that each brushstroke, layer of paint, layer of a print, moulding of a sculpture, each step contains my awareness and intent from the highest will and good for beauty to be brought before each viewer. For a statement of the human condition be brought before each viewer.

My work is a devotion to humanity, its potential, its connection to all in the Universe and the Earth, to each other. I create with Love and my intent is that it will be passed on.

PAYMENT AND DELIVERY OF ART WORK.
Art Work will be posted using Australia Post if possible as this will be the cheapest rate for you. If you would like to purchase a piece of art, E-mail me and I will let you know the cost of P&H (postage and handling) that will be added to the cost of the Art Work.

If it is a large Art Work, Australia Post may not be the cheapest option for you and I will use a courier service. I will let you know this when you contact me by E-mail.

I will always endeavour to find the most efficient and safe transport to send you the Art Work. I always put a lot of myself in creating each piece and it is important to me that it arrives to you in the same prime condition that it leaves me. I believe in honesty and integrity and will make every effort that every transaction is an easy, pleasant and worry free experience.
